Introduction

As someone who plays simulation games, I looked forward to the release of PowerWash Simulator 2. Released in October 2025 by FuturLab, PowerWash Simulator 2 quickly became one of my favorites. It improves upon the first game, mixing familiar aspects with new features. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S, this game is great for anyone who wants a relaxing, immersive experience.

Gameplay Overview

The gameplay of PowerWash Simulator 2 is straightforward: cleaning. In this version, you use a power washer to clean surfaces. The introduction of new mechanics makes the experience feel new.

One improvement is the adaptable nozzle. Unlike the original game's fixed spray options, this nozzle lets you change the strength of your water spray. It helps with cleaning tougher surfaces. Soap is also unlimited. The original game gave you a set amount of soap, but in PowerWash Simulator 2, soap is unlimited. The developers also added a circular surface cleaner designed to clean large, flat areas.

New Tools for a Better Experience

One reason PowerWash Simulator 2 stands out is the addition of tools specific to each mission. The scissor lift helps you clean areas at different heights, while the abseiling equipment lets you move along walls as you clean. These tools add strategy to the game. Each job feels different.

Another welcome addition is the dirt finder. When you're almost done with a cleaning job, this tool shows you any remaining dirt. This helps make sure every area is clean.

Multiplayer Mode

The multiplayer experience has changed the game for me. The sequel includes split-screen local multiplayer, which is good for playing with friends in the same room. PowerWash Simulator 2 also has online multiplayer with shared campaign progress. The game has 38 jobs in the base game, so I never run out of things to do. Some tasks have multiple stages, requiring you to clean different areas before moving on.

Home Base

One interesting addition in PowerWash Simulator 2 is the home base. Here, you can relax and change your space after completing jobs. You can also get pet cats, change the look of your home base, and decorate it with new furniture that you've cleaned during your missions. You can also select new jobs from a world map.

Expanding the World

The sequel also adds new locations outside of Muckingham, including Lubri City and Pumpton. These locations have new environments, providing a fresh visual experience. Each location is unique.
